First conference of European manufacturers of EPAL wood-chip blocks
On 16. April 2024, the conference on "Quality and Sustainability of EPAL wood-chip blocks", organized by EPAL, took place in Warsaw. More than 40 representatives of the manufacturers of wood-chip blocks for EPAL pallets and the EPAL testing institutes engaged in discussions about current topics and developments in the production of pallet blocks from wood chips.

"Snap the pallet" is back.
After the great success in 2021/22, the second edition of the big EPAL photo competition SNAP THE PALLET will start on April 1, 2024. From now on can upload photos with EPAL palettes on the photo contest website and, with a bit of luck, win one of cash prizes.

International Pallet Conference on 12 March 2024 in Barcelona
On 12 March 2024, EPAL held the international conference "The wooden pallet in Spain and Europe" in Barcelona. More than 50 participants from EPAL's Spanish licensees as well as representatives of Spanish trade associations and other EPAL member associations discussed current topics in the wood packaging and pallet industry.

EPAL supports the proposal for a Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and the associated objectives. At the same time, EPAL is pushing for a change in the regulations on the recycling of packaging in order to avoid disadvantages for wooden packaging such as EPAL pallets.
