EPAL Euro pallets have been produced in Ukraine for many years. Today we count 35 companies in Ukraine that are partners of EPAL and a precious part of the EPAL family, together with their employees, families and friends. Our thoughts are with them, and all other people in Ukraine in these hard times.

January 2022 saw EPAL once again receiving many more photos of EPAL Euro pallets from all walks of life. More than 300 participants from a wide range of countries have taken part in the Snap the Pallet photo contest since it started in December 2021. Every year, the Deutsche Institut für Normung e.V. (German Institute for Standardization - DIN) awards prizes to special projects and initiatives which document the significance of standardisation and specification to the economy and society. EPAL SUISSE, the Swiss member association of the European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL), elected a new board and president on 15 December 2021. In spite of restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 19 of the total of 26 members who produce or repair EPAL pallets or offer SBB exchange frames and SBB exchange lids in Switzerland took part in EPAL SUISSE's general meeting.

On 25.11.2021 the Board of the European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) discussed current topics of the EPAL European Pallet Exchange Pool. Originally planned as a meeting of the Board members in Berlin, the Board meeting was held at short notice as a video conference for reasons of precaution due to the increase in Covid 19 infections.
